Sheila Connor

Sheila Connor has her own training company and a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network. She is a versatile and effective communication professional with expertise in executive leadership, strategic planning, team development, organization transition and management and interpersonal skills training.  Throughout her twenty years of consulting, Sheila has viewed the strategic development of human capital as the critical factor in driving organization success.
Working collaboratively with clients as partners, she has participated in the development and delivery of leadership and management programs to over 10,000 people. Her designs for organizational interventions have been used throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, China, Malaysia, Egypt, Scotland and Korea. She frequently conducts team retreats and on site meetings for multinational corporations, government agencies and educational institutions.
Some of her clients include Microsoft, Boeing, Apache Oil and Gas, Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Alaska Airlines, Blue Cross of California and Northwestern University.  She has worked with various government agencies including Federal Aviation Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and The Office of the Surgeon General of the Army and many Washington state agencies. She also has served for eight years as Adjunct Faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in North Carolina where she delivered over 50 Change management workshops to senior executives.

In addition, Sheila is acknowledged for building the capacity of successful leaders through an active executive leadership coaching practice. She conducts executive assessments and individual coaching including the use of various instruments:  mbti, insights discovery profile, paperroom, 360 leadership profile, and emotional intelligence inventories. Her work includes both in-person and virtual components.

Sheila has a Master of Science Degree in Organization Development and has received training at Harvard Law School in negotiation and mediation.
