Jim Moore - The Go2Guy for Sports

Jim Moore

A speaker with 25 years of sports journalism experience to share humorous, inspirational, and motivational talks with your company or group,
Worked for 26 years at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer before the newspaper closed in 2009. Sonics beat writer for six years. Covered a lot of golf. Sports columnist the last seven years, wrote an offbeat Go 2 Guy column. Nickname was just given to him by the managing editor. He  thought it was dumb but he went with it because he was his boss, and it's still kind of stuck with Jim.
Graduated from Washington State in 1978 and he loves being a Coug (in a Husky town). Worked at the Ketchikan Daily News and Anchorage Daily News before starting at the P-I. Have worked at the station 710 ESPN for nearly five years now, originally with Kevin Calabro, former voice of the Sonics.
Jim’s style is  … well, Jim. He makes no attempt to hide his flaws and foibles, celebrating them instead, with a candor and self-effacing humor. He says “I pretty much just always tried to be myself when I've written columns and especially now when I do the shows. Who I am on the air is who I am off the air. I try to be as unfiltered as possible, to a point. I'm probably the king of self-deprecation, and a buddy of mine gets on me for that and wants me to stop doing it, but oh well, that's just part of who I am.”

Podcasts are available at 710Sports.com. The show is called “Danny, Dave and Moore.” He has also done a weekend golf show for the last three years.
